Neetu Singh Sabki Pathshala Trust is committed to bringing about sustainable and inclusive changes across country, especially in the lives of the most marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society. We are humbledto have impacted across Delhi NCR and North India states with adhering to the principles of accountability, transparency, and sustainability. New challenges emerged in India and the world faced one the greatest humanitarian crisis of the past century.
The Childhood
What is ‘The Childhood’? The concept of ‘The Childhood’, when defined in simple words, refers to one such child-friendly community where children up to the age of 18 years are given quality education, health facilities, nutritious food, enough opportunities for sports and entertainment along with a stage to share their thoughts and views so that elders can listen to them and understand them as well. When it comes to the weaker section or underprivileged children, the deprivation is apparent. There are many of them who are deprived of basic education, health care, nutritious food and other things that make up a complete childhood. So, Sabki Pathshala Trust has been making efforts to uplift them and create a community where children are self-reliant, independent and can self-advocate their needs.
Why Equal Education is Crucial for India & The Role of Sabki Pathshala Trust
Equal Education (often framed today as Educational Equity) is not merely a social ideal in India; it is the most critical tool for achieving the nation’s promise of prosperity and social justice. Given India’s vast and diverse population, providing high-quality education to every child, regardless of their socio-economic status, gender, or location, is paramount.
The Importance of Equal Education in India
Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Inequality:
Education as a Social Elevator: For millions of children from marginalized and vulnerable communities, education is the only path to genuine social mobility. Unequal access to quality schooling reinforces inherited socio-economic disparities, trapping generations in poverty.
Economic Growth and Productivity: A nation with a highly educated, skilled workforce is more productive. Ensuring equal access means maximizing the potential of the entire demographic dividend, leading to greater innovation, higher per capita income, and a stronger national economy.
Fostering Social Justice and National Cohesion:
Upholding Constitutional Rights: The Right to Education (RTE) Act makes free and compulsory education a fundamental right. Equal access and quality are essential to fulfilling this legal and moral mandate.
Reducing Social Divides: When children from all backgrounds learn together and receive similar educational opportunities, it promotes understanding, tolerance, and respect, helping to break down historical divisions based on caste, class, and religion.
Empowering the Most Vulnerable:
Women’s Empowerment: Education is the single most effective tool to empower girls and women, leading to better health outcomes, lower fertility rates, and greater participation in the economy and political life.
Child Protection: Equal access to a structured, quality educational environment reduces the high dropout rates and protects children from being forced into child labor, trafficking, and early marriage.
The Role of Sabki Pathshala Trust
Sabki Pathshala Trust plays a direct and impactful role in achieving educational equity, particularly for the most marginalized children in Delhi NCR and North India. The organization’s work is focused on directly addressing the barriers that prevent equal access.
Barrier to Equal Education
Sabki Pathshala Trust’s Intervention
Lack of Access & Dropping Out (due to poverty, need for income)
Core Educational Centers: Running schools and learning centers in slums and marginalized communities (like Pragati Maidan) to provide education literally where the children live, ensuring basic access.
Poverty & Competing Livelihood Needs (the “Life vs. Livelihood” dilemma)
Holistic Support: Providing not just education, but also nutritious food and a safe, child-friendly environment (The Childhood concept). This removes immediate financial pressure on parents to pull children into work.
Low Quality of Education (poor infrastructure, untrained teachers)
Quality & Holistic Development: Committing to quality education by focusing on the overall development of the child, including opportunities for sports and entertainment, which are often absent in low-resource settings.
Lack of Self-Advocacy & Empowerment
Creating a Self-Reliant Community: Working to create a community where children are self-reliant, independent, and can self-advocate their needs, empowering them to break free from generational dependence.
Lack of Women’s Financial Stability
Women’s Empowerment & Livelihood: Through initiatives like SAKHI KAUSHALAM, the Trust empowers mothers and women to become entrepreneurs and secure stable livelihoods. This indirect support strengthens the family’s financial position, ensuring children can stay in school.
In essence, Sabki Pathshala Trust operates at the intersection of education, livelihood, and holistic development—the three pillars necessary to dismantle the systemic inequality faced by India’s most vulnerable sections and transform the right to education into a tangible reality.

How To Empower Children When They Struggle
By Ashley Cullins When I was a teacher, I regularly received emails from parents. Emails contesting a child’s grade, asking for extra time on an assignment, requesting copies of forms the child had lost, and the list goes on.
This isn’t so out of the ordinary, but here’s the thing: I taught high school seniors. Young adults are on the cusp of venturing out into the world–without the ability to advocate for themselves, manage their responsibilities, or solve their own problems. It was a scary thought.
Yet I’m not criticizing or condemning these concerned parents. I’m a mom too. I get it. As parents, our instinct is to rush to the rescue when our children struggle. We want to say, “Don’t worry! I’ll fix it!”
